Our Fixed Departure Tours are pre-planned Sikkim journeys that operate on scheduled dates. You join other travellers on a shared itinerary, with accommodation, transport, sightseeing and applicable permit arrangements coordinated by Alpenglow Tours & Travels.
Absolutely! Solo travellers are welcome to join our fixed departures. It's a great way to explore Sikkim, meet fellow travellers and share the journey. Room-sharing options depend on availability, and single occupancy may involve additional charges.
Our departures cover Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, North Sikkim, Gurudongmar Lake, Lachung, Yumthang Valley, Zero Point, Pelling, the Old Silk Route and Darjeeling. Destinations vary by package, so check the selected itinerary for exact coverage.
Yes. Applicable permit costs for sightseeing included in your selected itinerary are covered in the package price. Travellers must provide the necessary identification documents, and permit issuance remains subject to government approval.
Our standard pickup and drop-off points are NJP Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport and Siliguri Junction. Exact reporting times and transfer arrangements will be confirmed according to your selected itinerary.
Depending on the route and operational requirements, we arrange vehicles such as Mahindra Xylo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Scorpio N and Toyota Innova, or a suitable equivalent in the confirmed category.
Our standard operating arrangement accommodates a maximum of 6 travellers per vehicle. This helps us organise group transport while maintaining reasonable seating arrangements for mountain travel.
Fixed departures use shared transportation. Vehicles are allocated according to the confirmed itinerary and group arrangements. A dedicated private vehicle is not included unless specifically agreed upon.
Your package generally covers accommodation, scheduled shared transportation, sightseeing specified in the itinerary, the applicable meal plan and permit costs for included destinations. Exact inclusions vary by tour and are listed in the package details.
We aim to make all package inclusions and exclusions clear before booking. Personal expenses, optional sightseeing, additional meals, entry fees not specifically included and services outside the confirmed itinerary may cost extra.
A booking advance is required to reserve your seat. The exact amount, payment deadline and balance-payment schedule will be communicated in your booking confirmation. Your reservation is confirmed only after availability and payment are verified.
